At KESSHŌ, we're always brewing up new ways to delight your taste buds. This time, we've teamed up with our neighbors at Thicket Food Park, the fantastic folks at Stouthaus Coffee, to bring you a treat that celebrates craftsmanship, community, and local flavors: the Cold Brew Coffee Gelato.
A Blend of Passion and Local Artistry
Our new gelato isn't just a dessert; it's a story of collaboration and a shared love for quality. We started by steeping Stouthaus Coffee's exceptional Honduras beans in a cold water process for 18 hours, creating a cold brew that's rich in chocolatey sweetness. This cold brew is then blended with the creamy goodness of Mill King’s dairy from a local Texan farm, resulting in a gelato that's smooth, flavorful, and undeniably indulgent.

Behind the Collaboration: A Conversation with Stouthaus Coffee
We caught up with the team at Stouthaus Coffee to learn more about their passion and the story behind our collaboration.
Q: How do you define Stouthaus?
A: "Stouthaus is coffee and community. We have a lot of passion for coffee, but we also love making connections with people."
Q: What are some fun facts you'd like people to know about your brand?
A: "We started in a farmers market and learned so much about supporting small local vendors. We began with coffee made by other local roasters. Now we roast our own, and it’s amazing to connect with hardworking farmers!"
Q: How did you pick this bean for the KESSHŌ gelato?
A: "We chose our Honduras roast for the gelato because of the yummy tasting notes it gives when made into cold brew. Steeping these beans in a cold water process for 18 hours gives an incredibly chocolatey, sweet, smooth flavor. We’re excited that the gelato came out so well!"
Q: What's your favorite KESSHŌ product?
A: "Dark chocolate is my favorite! I've always loved chocolate ice cream, so the dark chocolate gelato is my top pick. James prefers the dark chocolate bar!"
